1. Take a 10-30 minute walk every day and while you walk, smile. It is the ultimate antidepressant.

2. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day.

3. When you wake up in the morning, pray and ask for guidance.

4. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants, and less food that is manufactured in plants.

5. Drink green tea and plenty water. Eat balanced meals.

6. Try to make at least three people smile each day.

7. Don’t waste your precious energy on gossip, energy vampires, issues of the past, negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.

9. Life isn’t fair, but it’s still good.

10. Life is too short to spend time hating anyone. Forgive them for everything.

16. Frame every so-called disaster with these words: ‘In five years, will this matter?’

18. What other people think of you is none of your business.

19. Time heals everything.

20. However good or bad a situation is it will change.

21. Your job won’t take care of you when you are sick. Your friends and family will. Stay in touch.

22. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.

23. Each night before you go to bed, pray and be thankful for what you’ve accomplished that day.

24. Remember that you are too blessed to be stressed.

25. Be humble. Be honest. Be kind.

Do you practice any of those from the list? What effect does it have on your life?

  1. Nice blog.
So many of those make sense too and should implement more often.

I sit in silence daily and at regular intervals too, got to ensure that I slow life down on a regular basis.

  2. I can’t say I agree with all 25, but overall it’s a nice list. If I may make a few corrections,
I think eating dinner like a college student with a maxed out CC would lead to lots of ramen soup – not really a good choice but I understand the intention.
I would also replace “pray” with reflect or meditate to make it more universal.

  3. I need copies of this hanging everywhere in my house. Excellent ways to start and end the day and make sure the middle is full of love and light. Scheduled this to go on my facebook page this Saturday. Have a great evening!

  4. What I love about this, is that you can implement these immediately into your life and start feeling better bit by bit. Awesome advice babe, great post!

  5. These really are awesome tips!! I do most of these, and am working on a few more. People tend to stress themselves out too easily and worry about things they can’t control. If you can’t control it, worrying about it is a waste of time. The single greatest lesson I have learned in my life is #15. I used to wait for others to make me happy. I used to focus way too much time and energy on how others made me feel. Once I learned to take full responsibility for my happiness, my whole life changed. I’ve never been happier. 🙂

    1. “Once I learned to take full responsibility for my happiness, my whole life changed. I’ve never been happier.” — I can so relate to that statement. I wish everyone can come to that realisation and just be happy.
Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts Danny 🙂

      1. You’re very welcome!! 🙂 I know we have discussed this many times. Life changes for the better when you make the decision to take responsibility for your own happiness. I agree with you 100%. I wish everyone would realize this and enjoy life as happily as they have always wanted.
