Jim Rohn once said, “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.” I completely agree and think we should surround ourselves with people that reflect who we want to be and how we want to feel; after all, energies are contagious. Here are 5 types of people to surround ourselves with:

  1. The Inspired
  2. The Passionate
  3. The Motivated
  4. The Grateful
  5. The Open minded

Do you have those people in your life?

  1. Really good. i believe we must have another category – “All of the Above” 😉 very much possible. We are infinite beings and hence the possibilities we have are also infinite

  2. You had me at “Jim Rohn once said”. Totally agree with this one babe, energies are definitely contagious, this is such a simple idea yet almost crucial to having the life we desire. Wonderful post babe!

  3. Very interesting. I had heard this before – being a combination of the 5 people you interact with most – and at the time my life was very different. I guess I am very different now, as well.

  4. I really feel that you are a combination of these 5 types of people, Candace. You are inspired, passionate, motivated, grateful, and open minded. Your positivity and desire to constantly improve yourself and your lifestyle inspire me every day to become a better version of myself. I know I am just one of many who truly admire you and are inspired by you. As much of an impact as you are able to have on others through blogging, I have to imagine that impact is infinitely greater on those who are fortunate to be around you on a daily basis.

Keep on being just who you are! I hope you have a wonderful day! 😀

    1. Awww… thank you so much Danny. I appreciate your kind words so much. I guess it work both ways because I’m fortunate to meet such inspiring and motivating people, like yourself, in the blogging world. It’s a really good feeling to be part of such an uplifting, positive community of readers and bloggers.

      1. You’re welcome! And thank you! 🙂 It really is great to be a part of this wonderful blogging community. It’s something I never expected when I started blogging. Surrounding yourself with the right people always makes things extra special.

  5. This takes on a whole new meaning with the internet and facebook relationships… so much more interaction with relative strangers who share outlooks and feelings…like you!!! Thanks for sharing.

    1. You’re welcome Sherrill. It does take on a whole new meaning; as I was sharing with Danny in the comment above, I feel very fortunate to meet such inspiring and motivating people through blogging and online social networking. It’s very uplifting.

  6. Thank you for visiting my poetry. I like your purpose, and your website is much nicer than mine. I tried to “follow” you, but I got an error message.

  7. I love the notion that we are the average of the five people we spend the most time with. I hadn’t heard that before. It’s powerful. Turning it around, I have to think about the fact that the people who spend time with me are being influenced by the sort of person I am. Thanks, Candace!

  8. Those are some great people to have in your circle. I have a few of these people in my life that fill me with delight with what they achieve while at the same time being so humble.

      1. It made me think that it is really key to watch who is in your circle. During the past couple of years i’ve had to walk away from some people.
