In my last post, I wrote about waiting to do things in life—waiting to ‘live’. It inspired me to share my life list, which is basically a list of all the things I want to achieve, the dreams I want to fulfil, and life experiences I wish to have.

This list has been embedded in my journal for almost two years. I already achieved some of the things, but there’s still a lot waiting to be ventured into. I figured if I dusted it off and pasted it on my blog it’ll encourage me to pursue the things more. As time goes by, it will be updated as I add and check-off items.

Without further ado, here’s my life list:

  1. Be in a fulfilling relationship
  2. Go on a romantic getaway
  3. Backpack through Europe
  4. Have tea outside a cafe in Paris with a view of the Eiffel Tower
  5. Travel around Asia 
  6. See the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis)
  7. Visit New Zealand
  8. Tour South America
  9. Go on a Caribbean and a Mediterranean Cruise
  10. Go on an African Safari
  11. See the pyramids in Egypt
  12. Ride a camel in the dessert
  13. See the Seven Wonders of the World
  14. Visit Disney World
  15. Visit an ancient castle
  16. See snow falling in Manhattan at Christmas Time
  17. Go to Times Square on New Year’s Eve
  18. Live in a different country
  19. Get fit and reach my ideal weight
  20. Run a 5k race
  21. Run a 10k race
  22. Experience deep-sea life 
  23. Swim with dolphins
  24. Touch a killer whale
  25. Go horseback riding
  26. Climb to the top of a mountain
  27. Go skydiving or paragliding
  28. Make a difference in a stranger’s life
  29. Pursue my passion
  30. Dance in the rain
  31. Watch a sunrise and a sunset
  32. Look at stars through a telescope 
  33. Plant a tree and watch it grow
  34. Raise a pet from birth
  35. Publish a book
  36. Do public speaking in front of 1,000 people (or more)
  37. Cook and throw a dinner party with my closest friends and family
  38. Learn to play a musical instrument
  39. Win a lucky draw
  40. Go on a road trip
  41. Go vegetarian for 30 days
  42. Fly first class
  43. Visit a volcano
  44. Fly in a helicopter
  45. Make a positive impact in the world
  46. Help someone in need
  47. Get my wisdom teeth taken out
  48. Take a pottery class
  49. Ride a rollercoaster that goes upside down
  50. Live my life with true meaning
  51. Win an award
  52. Have my own apartment and live alone
  53. Ride in a hot air balloon
  54. Go camping
  55. See penguins in their natural habitat
  56. Do a kindness challenge
  57. Learn to cook professionally
  58. Be financially independent
  59. Learn to dance
  60. Paint a picture
  61. Face one of my biggest fears
  62. Accomplish a goal
  63. Find my drink of choice

  1. Oh I really want to see penguins in their natural habitat! They make me so happy to see! I recently got to pet one and it’s one of the softest animals I’ve ever touched! I hope we both get to check this off of our lists! 🙂

  2. Hmmm….very interesting indeed Candice! Its good to see that i’m not alone with a ‘list’. Sometimes when you mention the use of a list to others they just down-play them, lol. For me a list definitely allows for much needed perspective, and it does well for dopamine and serotonin release when each item is crossed out. Hope you get them all Candice!
