We must not forget to take time out of our busy dayseven just for a few secondsto breathe, relax, enjoy, and appreciate the beauty and essence of life all around us. We shouldn’t just live and let life pass us by. I spend a lot of time sitting indoors glaring at a computer screen, so whenever I get the chance I bask outdoors. I find tremendous joy and peace by living in the moment and taking in life as it goes by.

Just living is not enough… one must have sunshinefreedom, and a little flower.” ― Hans Christian Andersen

I try to savour meaningful moments as much as possible so that one day I can look back and remember its details and how it made me feel. Sometimes I stop (while driving, walking etc.) and capture beautiful simple thingslike in the photos below.

Looking at beauty in the world, is the first step of purifying the mind.” ― Amit Ray

Do you live in the moment or take photos of life around you?

  1. Awesome article. We must spend everyday in solitude in the midst of nature (preferably). Only then, we can know ourself better. The closer we get to the core and our being, the more we live in the present moment and vice versa. It is not worth spending time in pursuit of happiness outside. It’s better to be alone, but not lonely. One can be alone and yet not be lonely, if one gets to know oneself better.

  2. I woke up my son at 6 a.m. to join me for a walk. It was 4 degrees and a light driźzle. Peaceful and quiet, birds warbling a little, local deer wandering silently and low hanging cloud. We loved it.

  3. It’s easy to get caught up in the craziness of everyday life and forget to enjoy the beauty around us. You’re right, we need to remember to take some time to relax and just live in the moment. I try my best to do that every day, even if it’s only for a few moments. In many ways, my life has become something I could only dream of in the past. I really try to take a little time to remember that every day and enjoy this time in my life. Nothing lasts forever. Hopefully things keep getting better, but I will always remember this time in my life. My wish is for everyone to experience that feeling. 🙂 Great post, as always!! And these pictures are absolutely beautiful!!

    1. Aww thanks Danny.
It’s great hearing that your life now is something you could only dream of in the past. Not everyone is blessed today that same. But yes, we need to savour the moments despite. I recently came across this quote, “One day your future self will be reminiscing about you at this point in your life”. It made so much sense to me, and encouraged me to continue making the most out of every moment, because once it’s hone, that’s it–all that’s left is a memory.

      1. I absolutely love that quote!! It really does make perfect sense. There’s so much truth to it. I’ve often wondered what my younger self would think of my life right now, but I haven’t really spent much time thinking about what my future self will think looking back on this time in my life. That’s a very interesting thought. It’s definitely a great reminder to stay focused on the present.

  4. Beautiful pics babe, and they’re all taken by you! You definitely gotta stop and smell the flowers.

  5. I love the quote by Amit Ray. What i tend to do is leave my phone in my room and go out for a walk and sit by the sea, not really doing much, just taking it all in.Helps to relax me and keeps in my mind that we need to be spending time and appreciating life in its pure essence.
