I’m asking my weekly questions this month as a way for us to reflect on our year 2017 and to spread the joy of Christmas. I look forward to your responses.

Question: What’s Your Favourite Christmas Memory?

My response: My favourite memory was around age 11—I woke up super excited  at the crack of dawn on Christmas morning and ran downstairs with my two sisters, headed straight under the Christmas tree. We scuffled through the stack of presents to find ours. My parents always got us one present each, which made it even more special. My present was in a huge box, wrapped nicely with a bow. I remember how happy and excited I was. I tore it open and saw a big pink box. Through the transparent plastic in front, I saw a doll and a bunch of doll clothes. I looked at it with googly eyes and named her Cindy. It was indeed a memorable Christmas!

  1. Sitting by the fireplace with only the Christmas lights and listening to Christmas music. As a child this warmed my heart each time.

  2. Babe you never told be me about Cindy. My favorite Christmas memory is when I was 12 or 13 and watching Home alone 2 with my brother and sister for the first time, we laughed our butt off. Great question babe.

  3. I got married on December 22. That first Christmas together was incredible because there was the joy of Christmas combined with the joy of being newly-weds. This Christmas makes 10 years and I always feel that joy renewed each year.
